| Shelterbox - Saturday, May 19, 2012
We were delighted to receive a visit from the Rotary Club of Oldmeldrum (led by Ray Walker) with their shelterbox pack on Friday at assembly.
This visit was at the behest of our charities’ committee (Tayler, Megan, Adam, Terri and Archie) who have decided to target all our charity fundraising this year to raising money for a shelterbox. We were able to start our campaign by donating the Easter Service collection of £55.83.
The next charity fund raising event is a whole school funky hat day on June 1st

| Open Morning - Saturday, May 19, 2012We are holding an open morning 10am – 12noon at the school on Friday 8th June. We are seeking donations of home baking or other biscuits /cakes to refresh our visitors.
Classrooms will be open to visitors and we hope to welcome all our new Rising 5’s and mums too. There will be some second hand uniform for sale (new mums will be able to check for sizes for buying new) too and another chance to have a good look round the school.

| SSLN and CAT - Saturday, May 19, 2012P7 & P4 (selected pupils) will be taking their SSLN tests this week. Some are online and some written. Thanks go to Mrs Stirling for this.
P7 pupils have almost all taken online tests at the request of Meldrum Academy prior to going off on the trip. The information thus collected helps Meldrum Academy in adjusting curriculum appropriately to pupils’ learning styles.

| Library Books - Thursday, January 26, 2012
Please try to remember to return library books promptly!
Mrs Ingram kindly comes into the school every Wednesday to help the with the library. It would be very helpful if our younger pupils could keep the book in their reading folder for availability for a Wednesday for changing. Many thanks.
